We had him on our team and we traded him earlier this season. His name was Jarret Jack and he was making a reasonable $5M per year.

I'm against moving players for the sake of cutting a few million $. Trade Calderon to improve on talent is one thing, but to trade Calderon simply because you want to save a few million -- are you on the board of MLSE or the teacher's pension plan?

The issue with Calderon, IMO, isn't his salary at all - we signed him for about $3M/yr more than he's worth, but that's done. The issue is his freaking health - he just can't stay on the court for any length of time.

It was a huge worry of mine before we traded him, and it's still ongoing.
