LaMarcus Aldridge aside, for who there could be arguments made, Toronto got the best player in that draft by a long shot. Any Media pundit or fan that says otherwise can kiss my ass. The reason is simple, teams passed on Roy because he was a very high risk player. Colangelo's team did the research, and made the decision to pass on a sure fire SG star you could insert for immediate success and take a raw but potentially dangerous player 5 years down the road.
5 years later, Roy is a shell and may be done, because of his knee's, and Bargnani
is emerging as a top three center in the NBA, and is still a kid too.

A long shot? I'm pretty sure there's a kid in Boston that's pretty good if not better...also a pretty dynamic young guy in Memphis who's proving to be a decent pick.
