Another thing that will help Orlando in their push for Bosh is that Dallas (the forward's hometown) won't have the money in 2010 to pursue a big name free agent of Bosh's stature.
As of right now, they have $65,527,724 committed amongst six players. In comparison, Orlando's total salary for this upcoming season will be $66,576,798 split amongst 12 players. Basically, the Mavericks will barely have the money to fill out their roster, let alone splurge on an up and coming star.
The Magic seem to have all of the ingredients necessary to lure Bosh to "The Happiest Place on Earth."
Okay then, the Magic have all of the ingredients to lure him them, but away from the Mavs, not us. Chris, along with most of the other stars in the league, don't play for their hometown. It really doesn't matter if the Magic can get him away from Dallas anyway. He plays for the Toronto Raptors, and is was never expected to go to the Mavericks.
On a more serious note, come on people, we seriously need to stop worrying. This is completely and totally unsolicited speculation by an American sportscaster. Sure, there is a good chance of Chris leaving Toronto after the 2010 offseason, but that isn't for two more years, which is much too early for us or anyone other "expert analyst" to be deciding where our, or anyone else's, players are going. We should just enjoy the team that we have now, and more importantly, stop worrying!
