The real fact about Transit is it won't be done unless a future mayor convinces federal and provincial gov'ts that you need to spend a wack of dough on Toronto infrastructor. For years the feds just didn't care to upgrade Toronto and now the city is in a horribly bad situation in terms of Transit especially.
Subways are very costly and it takes alot of forward thinking to get them in place. Truth is we wouldn't see the fruits of our labour into action until the next generation comes to Toronto. Personally I'm ok with that if the city is going into the right direction. Generations before us have sacrificed for us maybe its time we do the same.
If you look at big cities in Europe they are either digging or going in the air when it comes to moving people around. Yet we get the idea that congesting Toronto's with STreet cars is the way to go. I'm perplexed
yup, a lot of people to convince and officials want instant results so they can get re elected
takes time to build but if they started 10-15 years ago we would be a lot further now
no time like the present to get things done
