For years the feds just didn't care to upgrade Toronto and now the city is in a horribly bad situation in terms of Transit especially.
Subways are very costly and it takes alot of forward thinking to get them in place. Truth is we wouldn't see the fruits of our labour into action until the next generation comes to Toronto. Personally I'm ok with that if the city is going into the right direction. Generations before us have sacrificed for us maybe its time we do the same.
If you look at big cities in Europe they are either digging or going in the air when it comes to moving people around. Yet we get the idea that congesting Toronto's with STreet cars is the way to go. I'm perplexed
i agree completely, but that's a federal issue. countless mayors have been asking for this - i can't think of a single one that didn't push this issue with the feds and the province - but it remains unfulfilled.
