But yeah, you're right. They've been trying to build a team around a great shooter. Never worked with Ray Allen, and it wasn't going to work with Michael Redd either.
Jefferson is a slasher at the 3 though, and I think Mo Williams is one of the more underrated point guards in the league. Redd will get less looks simply due to the added talent, but they will be better looks.
Bogut is excellent in a number of facets of the game, and has been consistently improving. It might be a lot of money, but you can hardly fault them for locking up one of the league's only above average centres. When you see the money that guys like Dalembert and Blount are making, it puts this into perspective a bit.
Size and skill combinations at the 5 spot are at a premium in the NBA right now. You have to overpay for quality size.
And Alexander is a freak. The size, speed, athleticism combo on his is absolutely ridiculous. His actual basketball skills have only really developed in the last year though, so to expect a lot more than nice highlights from him next year is optimistic.
