The LCBO pisses me off as well, but at least a lot of that money goes back into our government. I smoke and cigarettes are expensive. I deal with that because it's a tax, and not a monopoly.
I have a 16 year old sister and her and her friends have no problem getting alcohol. And like cigarettes, you'd need ID if alcohol were available at the corner store. Like cigarettes, some would make its way to underage kids, much like it does at the beer store and the LCBO.
It's antiquated. There was a time when lots of people thought alcohol should remain outlawed.
And then there's the fact that the Big Three are owned by foreign companies. That money should stay here.
