for TJ Ford
(they need a PG and Ford is really not working out)
Turkoglu to Portland
and Rudy Fernandez
(one is injured other wants out)
(probably will want our pick or at least swap picks)
That gives us
Banks, Evans, Ford, Przybilla expirings total 25 mil.
+pick from Washington
to New Orleans
(no brainer for NO)
for Ryan Gomes
+ pick from Minnesota
(Andreas value is higher and they need a center. Corey Brewer replaces Gomes at SF)
(Gomes is a big rebounding SF/PF we need. Salaries don't have to match because Memphis has cap room)
We improve D and rebounding at all positions
Arenas makes sure offense isnt stagnant. Okafor is better match for jumpshooting Bosh. Fernandez is cheaper faster version of Turk.
Gomes is a great young player, good shot and some post game even. Lesser version of Carmelo IMO.
Improvement across the board.
If my calcs are right, should stay under lux tax before picks and MLE. Which we should use and go over tax.
(tbh we can do this without Arenas, keeping Calderon
and Belinelli. But I like the idea of having another All-Star better)
(another young SF prospect is Jeff Green. Oklahoma needs a center and actually crave for 3-pointers too, while Greens minutes are clashing with Durant. So Green+high pick for Bargs)
