The Canadian team was going for its 6 straight gold medal when it lost by one goal to the Americans in overtime. That was only the Americans 2nd gold medal all-time at the tournament. And, unlike Canada, the US has sent a national team, consisting of its best players, since the 70s. Winning the juniour tournament 5 years in a row is pretty dominant. It's a big difference from what now takes place at the Olympic level, which was my point.
