Peer reviewed science says there is a need for immediate changes. Politics should have zilch to do with it.
The amount of money thrown at PR
averting change is enormous and makes the tobacco industry look like a joke. Until I see that there is recognition in peer-reviewed scientific journal, then I suspect more fakery.
And it is sad that we need scientists to tell us what is obvious, but when you have so much money put into telling us that oil is the way forward, and that we might as well drink the stuff, then there does have to be a force to counter all that. And the people in charge of making decisions also spent decades insisting that there needed to be a clear scientific consensus.
