Croatian head coach with Raps for a few weeks to add input

From D. Smith:

You read about Jasmin Repesa today, the Croatian national coach who’s with the team for a couple of weeks observing and adding what he can whenever he’s asked.

(If you haven’t had the chance yet, click here and you will).

He’s a really interesting dude with a lot of connections to the Raptors.

He and Maurizio go back more than a decade, to old Bologna-Benetton battles in the Italian league, he coached a 17-year-old Marco Belinelli in Bologna when the kid was just starting his career and he had Roko for a season at Roma, back in ’07 when Toronto played over there.

Good guy, soft-spoken but wildly-respected in the game.

But he’s certainly not the only guy who’s been around watching.

Roy Rana, who now coaches Ryerson and coached Canada’s cadet team in the summer, was here for a couple of days, saw Dave Smart of Carleton in the gym the afternoon, Leo was around for a couple of practices when things first got started.
