i really hope he's writing for the younger generation of basketball fans. these obscure references are wack. garnett and camby have zero guard-like qualities. looking back to that generation, how could you ignore the likes of toni kukoc and detlef schrempf?
the only thing garnett/camby helped revolutionized was the employment of a skinny frail front court. this has helped ease the game step away from your inside 7' 250lb+ center that no longer existed. with that said, the majority of them played out on the perimeter anyways. that's where the offensive floor opens up.
while i agree with our front court having no effective low post expert, Bosh
isn't horrible there to the point where he can't create a basket or contact. not everyone is hakeem down-low, and even he was, people would be still be bitching because he'd be shooting it in opposed to dunking it every time.
