Default Why has Jamario Moon plateaued

Yup .... it was only a matter of time before the league knew how to play Jamario.

Obviously this is something the big Suns forward can do almost routinely, but if Moon goes up hard and strong heís got that ball tucked away before anyone else even leaves the ground. Instead he was kind of casual about it and cost his team a basket. A moment later 35-year-old Grant Hill out-ran him down the floor to score to grab a long pass from Nash and then faked Moon off the floor to score a lay-up. In fact every time Moon was anywhere near him he pump-faked and was rewarded when Moon flew past just about every time. Clearly Hill read the scouting report. Then Moon hit one jumper and a moment later sent one off the side of the backboard from the same spot. You can guarantee that every team in the league is building their defence to double off Moon and then rotate back, perfectly willing to risk being beaten by the Raptors least consistent jump shooter. Which is why Mitchell tore into Moon for settling for yet another jumper. With a defender rotating back to him Mitchell wants Moon to go hard at the basket, but right now thatís not Moonís game. And if heís going to be just average defensively and passive offensively, it will be only a matter of time before Carlos Delfino starts.
