It's a tough one between trading
Bosh now or anything else, but like somebody else said it's questionable that teams will line up to trade away much talent (potential franchise players) for him, even more so since he's going to be FA anyway, thus available, also to others.
If
Raptors would go for a rebuild I think signing Hedo Turkoglu wouldn't make sense.
He's in his prime, so that's signing is all about now. I think it's the right move.
I'm kind of a Turkoglu fan and so I followed the rumours. I would've liked to see him play for the Blazers too and I was actually a bit disappointed when that rumour turned out to be false. Many Blazers fans were relieved about it, just like some of you because of the amount of $$$, but I think they overlook the fact that they would be better off spending now that they still can and add a valuable player than not spend at all or on a lesser player.
The
Raptors face the same situation and they got the biggest prize of the FA class.
Hedo will make them a better team I think, and they have to improve now if they are aiming for
Bosh to stay. In that respect Toronto should be considered even under more pressure than Cleveland. And I think aiming for a playoff run and for
Bosh to stay is a good choice because you have to take risk to reach your ultimate goal, and
Raptors think their best chance of winning is with Bosh.
Reading that Hedo is the biggest FA to ever sign for Toronto reinforces that imo.
If it's apparently that hard to attract star players you better try and keep the one(s) you got!
