Roko did show flashes of brilliance and a strong work ethic, but this team needed a better back-up point guard with the skillset of its bench players. Alot of the blame goes to BC, placing the responsibilities of the back-up point guard position on two unproven rookies (Will Solomon & Roko Ukic). Also BC relied on Calderon
logging alot of minutes, that didn't happen either.
Having "Forderon" was a dream that rarely ever happens in basketball, but what kind of back-up PG are you looking at who's going to be that effective and "create their shot" on a consistent basis? If anything, those issues will be addressed at SG by BC and not at the back-up PG spot.
Roko's young and gained alot of experience this season and I guarantee we'll continue to see growth and improvements to his game this fall. Don't write him off so quickly. We have many other bigger problems/issues to address this summer. Roko's play is the least of our worries at this point.
