i start and finish my work-outs with chin-ups. i find them they're pretty easy to build-up on if you continue doing it. when i started working out with my roommates, i went from being able to do five to ten easily within a month.
pulls-ups on the other hand, i max-out at five. those fuckers are tough for me.
