One of the requirements for Toronto getting an NBA team was that NBA proline had to be banned.
Their 2 current arena's are nothing to write home about. They're antiquities compared to Kansas City's Sprint Center. I think there was talk of plans for a new stadium but that talk died down a while ago.
Also, i'm not convinced they could muster a fanbase to support a team. They're competing with shitloads of other entertainment options, and i'm guessing a significant portion of the city's population works at night. They'd also be one of the smallest television markets in the league from what i understand.
Kansas City's the safest option if i'm an owner imo.
