St-Pierre to dramatically outweigh Penn
UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre could be over 15 pounds heavier than lightweight champion BJ Penn come Saturday at UFC 94 in Las Vegas. When asked last week what weights each champ expects to be when they step in the Octagon for the fight, St-Pierre said he'll be at 185-187 pounds while Penn answered that he'll probably be on the dot at 170 pounds. Since the fight is for the welterweight belt, both fighters will not have the one-pound allowance and will have to make weight Friday afternoon at the limit of 170 pounds. Penn, a former welterweight champ, considers this an advantage though, as he doesn't have to cut to make weight.
