that's why the best move may be to be a seller of capspace to the 2010 market. 2011 isn't too bad of a free agency summer and should have a more cap-friendly cba to help the team going forward.

we might even be able to drop some immediate salary burden so we're not up against the tax line like we are now, thus allow some flexibility and pick up some talent and/or picks in the process. teams will tie themselves up in 2010, many with bad deals. toronto could position itself very well for the long term by leapfrogging the 2010 mania.

for example: JO+Kapono for Rose, Jefferies, James, Gallinari

Rose is a big expiring. I believe James is close to being granted injury retirement status and having insurance cover him and an exception awarded, he expires the same year as o'neal, Jefferies would probably start over Moon, and Gallinari has a lot of potential--I really like this kid. those two are the only ones that go past 2010.
