A sore right wrist has T.J. Ford officially listed as a game-time decision for the Raptors
tonight against the New jersey
However, the odds are he spends the game watching, rather than playing.
As he wandered out of a meeting room after doing some video work following this morning’s shootaround, Ford shook his head and said, “not good” when asked how his wrist was feeling.
Interim head coach Jay Triano laid it off on the team’s trainers, saying Ford would get some treatment this afternoon and they’ll decide tonight whether he’s able to go.
Ford hurt his wrist sometime in Sunday’s game in Minnesota – no one is 100 per cent sure when it happened – and he played only eight minutes against San Antonio on Monday night.
He didn’t practice Tuesday and was sporting a compression brace from his hand to forearm.
If Ford is out, it will fall, once again, to either Juan Dixon or Darrick Martin to back up starter Jose Calderon. But with the all-star break beginning Thursday and no game until next Wednesday, the Raptors
could load up the minutes on Calderon
because he’s got so many days off coming up.
